Kane Roberts 1987 (FULL ALBUM) Original Cd Press HQ

This year marked the 30th Anniversary of the self titled debut album for former Alice Cooper guitarist Kane Roberts. I don't know the exact date so I figured why not bring it up on New Year's Eve? Probably better than most music people will you use for New Year's Eve parties.

Dragnet Jack Webb "What Do They Pay You?"

Sad milestone as today is the 35th Anniversary of the death of Jack Webb who passed away of a heart attack at 62. Webb is best known for creating the classic Police Drama Dragnet and starred in it as Sgt. Joe Friday in the radio version, a 1954 movie, and the 1950s & 1960s versions on TV while planning to return for a 1983 revival before his death. Webb also co-created the police drama Adam-12 & the medical drama Emergency! and ran his own production company Mark VII Limited which has one of the most famous logos in history of hands hammering a stamp along with a drum roll and hammer clinks which has since inspired Spike Lee's 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks logo and Cartoon Network's Ghost Planet Industries/Williams Street Production logos. Upon Webb's death, the LAPD paid tribute to him with a funeral complete with police honors including a gun salute along with renaming one of their academy auditoriums after him and retired the badge number 714 which Joe Friday used on Dragnet.

Siskel & Ebert: Leonard Part 6

Happy 30th Anniversary to the infamous Bill Cosby movie Leonard Part 6 which is considered one of the worst movies of all time. How bad is it? Cosby himself famously went as far to go on talk shows to warn people not to see it. I must bring all this up because it allows me to show Siskel & Ebert's review of it and it's easily one of Ebert's best reviews as we see him mock the bad jokes and criticizing Cosby prostituting himself to Coca-Cola (who owned Columbia Pictures at the time) to get the film made. Siskel & Ebert had an incredible knack of making bad movies sound hilarious.

Running and Gunning Since 1987: A Look Back at 30 Years of Mega Man
December 12, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

Back in 1987, a new video game character burst onto the scene in Mega Man. After having humble beginnings, the Blue Bomber has since become one of the most popular and enduring characters in video game history with multiple sequels and many spin offs that have since followed. With the 30th Anniversary fast approaching, what better way to celebrate such an incredible milestone than to look back at every main Mega Man game from 1 through 10 and everything about them.

A Look at the Upcoming Bellator Heavyweight Tournament

A Look at the Upcoming Bellator Heavyweight Tournament
November 21, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

Just recently, Bellator had announced what some have suspected would happen and that is a tournament to crown a new Heavyweight Champion. To say the least, this is interesting as Bellator is now planning to finally fill a vacancy that's been in effect for nearly two years while finally reviving the division that's been in limbo with fighters still competing but don't have a championship to compete for. That being said, is this the best way to go about it and what about the participants? Like anything, this has positives and negatives so let's take a look at them and decide for yourself if it's a good idea or not.

Family Feud, Theme 1976-1985

Happy Birthday to original Family Feud host Richard Dawson who would've turned 85 today. Dawson passed away in June 2012 at 79. Dawson was the original host of Family Feud from 1976-1985 and returned from 1994-1995. He also was a regular celebrity panelist on the classic 70s version of Match Game from 1973-1978, Corporal Peter Newkirk on Hogan's Heroes, and Damon Killian in The Running Man.

Also had one of the most colorful casts of all time that range from Schwarzenegger to football legend Jim Brown, pro wrestling legends Jesse Ventura & Professor Tanaka, former James Bond villain Yaphet Kotto, Dweezil Zappa, Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac, the guy who does the voice of Squidward on Spongebob Squarepants, and game show legend Richard Dawson as the main villain and he's great at it.

Celebrities You May Not Have Known Were In James Bond Films

Celebrities You May Not Have Known Were In James Bond Films
November 13, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

With the James Bond movie series having been around for 55 years, it's well known many big celebrities have come through it. Everybody knows most of them as everyone knows Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan has been James Bond to Jane Seymour, Denise Richards, and Halle Barry were Bond girls to Christopher Lee, Christopher Walken, Javier Bardem, & Christoph Waltz were Bond villains. However, there's much more than them. Did you know the original Steve McGarrett and Quint from Jaws were in Bond films? Did you know Tattoo from Fantasy Island, Kojak, Vicki Vale from Batman, and two X-Men were too? What about Ned Stark from Game of Thrones? The knight who played chess against Death? Two members of The Fellowship of the Ring? Even Lord Voldemort? They all did and then some. Here now is a list of actors and celebrities that you may know of but have no idea were in James Bond films.

The main theme from Adele was the fourth Bond theme to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song after Paul McCartney & Wing's Live and Let Die from Live and Let Die, Carly Simon's Nobody Does It Better from The Spy Who Loved Me, and Sheena Easton's For Your Eyes Only from For Your Eyes Only. However, it made history by being the first to win the award.

In Defense of King Mabel and Why He's Not The Worst King of the Ring Winner

In Defense of King Mabel and Why He's Not The Worst King of the Ring Winner
October 5, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

For most of it's history, the King of the Ring tournament has been a tournament that either had legends win or was a stepping stone for future greatness with many legendary WWE careers being kicked off by winning the King of the Ring tournament. When people think of King of the Ring winners, they usually look at legends like Bret Hart, Owen Hart, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, and Brock Lesnar as being among the best. However, not all King of the Ring winners are fondly remembered and one of them is King Mabel. Winning the tournament in 1995, Mabel not only won what many considered one of the worst King of the Ring tournaments on one of the worst pay-per-views of all time but many consider his win one of the worst in the tournament's history and is routinely considered one of, if not, the worst winner of all time. While it is true Mabel never came close the legendary status that many of the other winner did, Mabel also gets a bad rep and really isn't as horrible as many paint him out to be. Being a big King Mabel fan since the 90s, I feel it's time to defend him, debunk some of the talking points, and explain that while Mabel may not be the most obvious choice to win, it's really not as crazy as it seems but actually makes more sense then you think and while Mabel will never go down as one of the best King of the Ring winners, he's not the worst.

"Dr No" Opening titles

Happy 55th Anniversary to the James Bond movie series as the first Bond film Dr. No debuted in England on this day back in 1962. The first Bond gun barrel and intro. Interestingly enough, stuntman Bob Simmons is Bond in the sequence instead of Sean Connery for some reason. Connery wouldn't do the gun barrel until the fourth movie: Thunderball.

Debunking the Myth of WCW holding down their Younger Wrestlers

Debunking the Myth of WCW holding down their Younger Wrestlers
September 24, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

WCW was known for many things both good and bad from great wrestling, the cruiserweights, and the nWo to laughable gaffes and occasional incompetence. One of the things that the company was supposed to be known for was the fact they supposedly held down their younger wrestlers in favor of older wrestlers. However, this wasn't the case as younger wrestlers were given opportunities and there are reasons as to why they may not have gotten farther that was not the fault of the company. Having heard this myth for nearly 20 years, I decided that it should be debunked because while WCW wasn't perfect, neither were their wrestlers.

Kiss - Turn On The Night

Kiss-Crazy Crazy Nights

Happy 30th anniversary to the KISS album Crazy Nights. Many KISS fans don't care for it as it has a rock/pop style to it but I love it. A great album.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, arguably wrestling's greatest manager and one of the best color commentators. I can't say I was surprised as he wasn't in good health and had battled health problems including throat cancer since 2002. As a manager, few, if any, were as good as Heenan could cut a great promo, seemed to have great chemistry with almost everybody he represented, he really made you believe he was actually offering advice to his wrestlers, and he never took away from the match or chewed the scenery to the point where people forgot about the match which is important for any manager.
As a commentator, his pairing with Gorilla Monsoon is arguably the greatest and it along with Monsoon's pairing with Jesse "The Body" Ventura set the template of wrestling commentary over the last 30 years that every company big or small has tried to emulate. He also had a great wit and the best with one liners. As a wrestler, he could bump with the best of them and knew how to get the fans to love every minute a fan favorite whipped his ass.
Pro Wrestling Legend and former Heenan Family member Nick Bockwinkel said it best about him "Bobby could replace me in any match and the building would just as wild. Bobby could replace Ray Stevens in any match and the building would just as wild but I couldn't do what Bobby did and Ray couldn't do what Bobby did". To be fair to Bockwinkel, not many could do what Heenan did.
73 is a great age and he lived a long life but like with other legends, it's hard to imagine we now live in a world with no Bobby Heenan. His influence will be felt in wrestling for decades to come and many will continue to be inspired by him that enter wrestling.

30 Years Later: A Look Back At Street Fighter 1: The Forgotten Original

30 Years Later: A Look Back At Street Fighter 1: The Forgotten Original
August 27, 2017

Street Fighter 1 Flyer

It was 30 years ago when the video game world saw the debut of one of the biggest franchises in it history make it's debut: Street Fighter. Originally one of the earliest games in the fighting genre, Street Fighter introduced things that were never seen before in fighting games and changed the genre forever. Unfortunately, the franchise had humbled beginnings as the game came and went before falling into obscurity. It wouldn't be until Street Fighter II's release four years later that the series finally caught on and became a phenomenon. With the 30th Anniversary coming, what better way then to look back at the original that started it all?

Star Wars Characters Who Should Have Their Own Movie

Star Wars Characters Who Should Have Their Own Movie August 22, 2017 By Ryan Porzl

Since acquiring Star Wars, Disney has had a lot plans for new Star Wars movies. By now it's well known that one of those plans is to make a Han Solo prequel movie. Should the movie be successful, it could open the door for other films. The Star Wars universe has had many great characters but we've never got to see more of their stories. So here now is a list of characters that should one day get their own movie and expand their stories..

The Chrono Series Needs To Return

The Chrono Series Needs To Return August 11, 2017 By Ryan Porzl
Since it's debut in 1995, the Chrono Series has been one of the most critically acclaimed series in video game history despite only having two games. Not only fun RPG games, they were also way ahead of their time with the games either focusing on time travel or traveling through dimensions while also featuring multiple endings, side quest, and even having over 30 playable characters. Sadly, despite the games popularity and success, Square has discontinued the series after only two games and potentially cancelled a third game. It's time for Square to get it's act together and bring it back.

Capcom Should Remake and Release Street Fighter 1

Capcom Should Remake and Release Street Fighter 1
August 6, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

When you think of the all time great video game franchises, it's hard not to think of Street Fighter. Since it's debut, the series has been one of the greatest in the fighting game genre and helped popularize it thanks to Street Fighter II and it's enhanced versions. However, Street Fighter also has the strangest beginning in the history of video games. Unlike other series like Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Castlevania to name some, the first Street Fighter game isn't one many have gone back to play like many first games and even stranger is the fact that it simply disappeared by the end of the 80s with most people first hearing about the series via Street Fighter II which was the game that launched the series to the stratosphere in 1991. This August marks the 30th Anniversary of the Street Fighter series so I've decided to write why Capcom should unearth the first series in one of their most beloved and treasured franchises.

Can Bellator MMA Overtake The UFC as Number One?

Can Bellator MMA Overtake The UFC as Number One?
August 2, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

Since 2007, The Ultimate Fighting Championship has been the undisputed number one Mixed Martial Arts promotion in the world following Zuffa's (UFC's former parent company) purchase of the Japanese based PRIDE Fighting Championships. Since then, many companies have come and gone including those who tried to compete with the UFC such as EliteXC and Strikeforce while The UFC has come off untouchable. However, with recent events from The UFC as well as the rise of Bellator MMA since it's purchase to Viacom and former Strikeforce head Scott Coker as it's leader, the gap has gotten smaller. While Bellator MMA is still a long way from completely overtaking The UFC and won't do it tomorrow, the pieces are in place for them to one day do so and I'll explain why The UFC's time at top could be coming to an end eventually.

Continuing Movie Series with Video Games

Continuing Movie Series with Video Games
July 19, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

Over the decades, we've seen many movie series and movie universes for superhero movies, action movies, and science fiction. Many of these franchises have seen many series with different actors and stories in each series while the franchises have been rebooted many times resulting in several "universes". Each of these series or universes has a fanbase with many considering a certain actor being the best of the franchise or an adaptation of certain characters being best or the stories. However, as time goes on, actors age and can no longer play the parts while directors come in with their own vision and at times, reboot series'. In the movie world, these actors are done and likely won't return. However, these series' and actors can continue in video game form. In this article, I'll explain why I think that past series' from classic franchises could get second lives in video games and maybe even some closure as well as the benefits of doing it.

Spider-Man Vs Kingpin - Sega CD - Swing Time

Another can be Mr. Big's Swing Time from Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin on Sega CD.

Spiderman Opening Theme (High Quality)

Forgot to bring this up but one thing I propose for the next Spider-Man movie and what should've been in Homecoming was some old classic Spider-Man songs. One would be the theme for the classic Fox Kids cartoon that Joe Perry from Aerosmith performed.

Happy birthday to Han Solo and Indiana Jones himself: Harrison Ford who turns 75 today.
Saw Spider-Man Homecoming yesterday and it's your typical good Marvel Cinematic Universe movie with good action, special effects, and some funny moments. Some of the beginning was a little dull but it picked up as it went on. Tom Holland does a good job as a younger Spider-Man and is a worthy successor to Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield. I may be biased here but I loved Michael Keaton as Vulture who plays the character at times as a sympathetic villain but clearly shows a dark side. I love the way The Vulture character came off as he's most an old man and I'm not into the comic or cartoon version and I didn't know how Keaton would come off but this version is a bad ass and looks cool. I know Keaton is 65 but I was worried he'd come off older but that wasn't the case. The special Spider-Man costume Iron Man made is a cool addition and gives Spider-Man some new tricks. I like we also get Shocker and a small appearance from a pre-Scorpion Mac Gargon.

The WWE Cruiserweight Classic: Where Are They Now?

The WWE Cruiserweight Classic: Where Are They Now?
July 7, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

It's been a year since The WWE introduced The Cruiserweight Classic, a tournament featuring 32 of the best cruiserweights from around the world and it concluded with the crowning of a new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Since that time, The WWE has done The UK Championship Tournament to crown the first WWE UK Champion and are about to start The Mae Young Classic featuring 32 Women. Meanwhile, the cruiserweight division has since returned and been a complete failure with The WWE not showing much interest and the fans haven't cared much while the cruiserweight only show 205 Live has failed to get a big audience on The WWE Network. With all that said, I feel it's time to take a look back at the 32 participants and see what they've done since then and why not much has happened to the few who WWE snatched up.

I don't own the picture.

Nobody Does It Better

Happy 40th Anniversary to the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me which was Roger Moore's third out of seven outings as 007 and along with being perhaps his best movie was the one that truly established him. The film also saw the debut of iconic Bond villain Jaws. The theme "Nobody Does It Better" would be the second Bond song nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song with Paul McCartney and Wings' "Live and Let Die" being the first four years earlier.

a-ha - The Living Daylights (Album Version)

A-Ha's version from their 1988 album Stay On These Roads.

A-Ha - The Living Daylights official video

Happy 30th Anniversary to the James Bond film The Living Daylights. The Living Daylights was the 15th in the official series done by Eon Productions and the first to star Timothy Dalton as James Bond. Dalton was someone ahead of his time doing Bond a more darker version and was a huge 180 from Roger Moore. He was Daniel Craig before that was cool. The movie was also sadly the final one to be scored by John Barry as he never returned to the series but he left on a high note. The theme from A-Ha is one of my favorite Bond songs. There were two versions as Barry and A-Ha apparently didn't collaborate well.
Here's Barry's version.

Timothy Dalton: A Look Back At The Original Dark Bond

Timothy Dalton: A Look Back At The Original Dark Bond
June 21, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

In the James Bond world, Timothy Dalton is best remembered as the fourth James Bond succeeding Roger Moore and bringing up about a darker tone to the series in an attempt to be more closer than the Ian Fleming novels the movies were based off of. Unfortunately, Dalton's approach was polarizing and legal problems over the series as well as other issues saw Dalton exit after only two films. Despite his brief run as 007, Dalton has had quite the journey leading up to Bond and an interesting aftermath with redemption. This article will look back at Dalton's early life/career, his eighteen year journey and false starts as the world's most famous secret agent, his run & departure, and aftermath.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Face to Face

Happy 25th to Batman Returns which in my opinion is the greatest Batman movie of all time. Michael Keaton will always be Batman while Danny DeVito and Michelle Pffeifer were also perfectly cast as Penguin and Catwoman, respectively. One of the things I loved about this movie was the imagination including The Penguin's various umbrellas, the vehicles, the penguins with missiles, and The Red Triangle Circus Gang was an excellent idea for henchmen (Sorry Chase, I know I've nagged you about these things a million times). Danny Elfman's soundtrack is one of the best in the history of movies. He really should've been nominated for an Academy Award for best original score as well as song with Face To Face. Elfman's music perfectly adds to every scene and I don't think any Batman movie has had as good a soundtrack since The Burton films. The films dark and gloomy nature was also great. I'm proud to say that this is the first Batman I saw in theaters and I've seen every live action one ever since.

Happy 35th anniversary to the KISS album Killers. Killers was originally an international release that was mostly a best of album with four new songs.

Wednesday, June 14, 2017

I can't believe it. I almost forgot an important anniversary today. On this day 30 years ago, June 14, 1987, Mets/Phillies. Kramer and Newman were enjoying a beautiful afternoon in right field stand when a crucial Keith Hernandez error opens 5 run Phillie ninth that cost The Mets the game. Their day was ruined. Afterwards, Kramer and Newman come down the ramp where the players are, they pass Hernandez, and Newman say "Nice Game, Pretty Boy". Hernandez turned as he went up the ramp and then a second later, something changed them in a deep and profound way from that day forward when they thought Hernandez spit at Kramer who said "I'm Hit!" and Newman turned and the spit ricocheted off him and hit him. Of course, five years later, they learned the truth that it was Roger McDowell spitting at them from the bushes because they were cursing at him the whole game while he got a glimpse of Newman pouring that beer on his head. Hernandez tried to warn them but it was too late as it was already on it's way.

You Only Live Twice Opening Title Sequence

Happy 50th Anniversary to the fifth James Bond film You Only Live Twice. The fifth Bond starring Sean Connery and his last during his first tenure as he later returned for 1971's Diamonds Are Forever and the 1983 Thunderball remake Never Say Never Again.

Voltron Cartoon Network Toonami Intro

Zarkon! THE Zarkon!? There's Only One. I love that part.

Toonami- Dragon Ball Z intro

Piccolo: We're Not Here To Bow Down To Your Demands. We're Here To Fight!

Toonami - Toonami and Moltar's First Intro (1997-1999)

Always kept forgetting but this past St. Patrick's Day was the 20th Anniversary of Toonami from Cartoon Network. A great part of my teenage years. I always loved how Moltar was the original host and he should've lasted longer than just two years. At least he put it best in C. Martin Croker tribute to T.O.M. about how he was always the best host.

Khan's Last Breath - Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (5/8) Movie CLIP (1982...

Ricardo Montalban as Khan Noonien Singh is one of the greatest villains of all time. Who'd a thought quoting Moby Dick right before you blow your ship up in a Kamikaze move to kill your rival would be bad ass and go together.

Happy 35th Anniversary to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. One of the best Star Trek movies of all time.

In Defense of the Star Wars Special Editions

In Defense of the Star Wars Special Editions
June 1, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

The original Star Wars Trilogy is one of the greatest trilogies and series of movies in the history of American film. They had everything from entertainment, great characters, great stories, excellent soundtracks, and special effects that were unheard of for their time that could be considered breathtaking. In 1997, George Lucas decided to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Star Wars by re-releasing the Star Wars trilogy into theaters but wouldn't release the classic films the way people remembered them but rather newly enhanced versions called "The Special Edition". These editions not only featured better sound and quality but new scenes and some alterations. While the films were hugely successful in theaters, they've been extremely polarizing in the two decades since their releases with many believing that Lucas soiled his masterpieces. Speaking of Lucas, the Special Editions would be the beginning of the end for his reputation as many would argue Lucas ruined the series with them, the prequel trilogy, among other things to the point where it wasn't until the sale to the Walt Disney Company and the release of Episode VII: The Force Awakens that many believed the series began a comeback. However, we're the special edition really that bad. I'm among those who doesn't believe so and to celebrate the recent 40th anniversary of the original Star Wars' release as well as the 20th anniversary of The Special Editions, I'll explain why The Special Editions are not only not bad but at times had benefits. Before I begin, I don't agree with every change they did. I agree that "Han Shot First" and he should always shoot first especially when he's defending himself from a bounty hunter named Greedo who's holding him at gunpoint trying to collect a bounty on his head. I think that's what you call "self-defense".

John Williams - Figrin D'an And The Modal Nodes

As I did with The Force Awakens a year and a half ago, I have to celebrate Star Wars 40th Anniversary the best way possible by showing a song from the greatest band in the galaxy, "Fiery" Figran D'an and The Modal Nodes.

Star Wars Main Theme (Full)

Happy 40th Anniversary to Star Wars.

Cannonball Run - Best of Roger Moore

Say what you will about the Cannonball Run movies as Siskel and Ebert tore them apart in hilarious manner but it was awesome that Roger Moore's Seymour Goldfarb Jr. acted like Roger Moore/James Bond, entered the race as Roger Moore, and drove an Aston Martin DB5 with gadgets.

James Bond The Spy Who Loved Me Death Scene Of Stromberg and Jaws' Loss

Roger Moore kicking ass.

Octopussy (1983) - Bond vs General Orlov

Though known for his campy and light hearted approach to James Bond, Moore showed he could pull off a serious scene and nailed it here.

Sad day and an end of an era in James Bond with the passing of Roger Moore. He the first Bond to pass so it's hard to think that not all the Bonds are alive anymore. On the plus side, 89 is a good age and he was five months away from his 90th birthday. I know I always think of him when I see a tuxedo with a white coat. I also found it funny how he did a parody of Bond in Cannonball Run.

Slaughter - Heaven It Cries

Slaughter - American Pie

On this day 20 years ago, Slaughter released their fourth album Revolution. This was also sadly the last studio album to feature guitarist Tim Kelly before his death in an accident a year later.

George Carlin - Modern Man(720p)

Off by a week and I can't believe I forgot but May 12th would've been the 80th Birthday. Carlin passed away back in 2008 at 71. One of the greatest comedians of all time.

Kiss - Every Time I Look At You

Underrated ballad from KISS.

Kiss - Domino

Kiss - Unholy

Happy 25th anniversary to the KISS album Revenge. Arguably the best album from the non makeup era (1983-1996) but it's really one of the best in KISS' catalog. It was the first album to feature current drummer Eric Singer and the returns of producer Bob Ezrin and former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent as a songwriter.

Debunking NXT as a Third WWE Brand Myth

Debunking NXT as a Third WWE Brand Myth
May 6, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

NXT was originally conceived in 2012 to be the WWE's Developmental after having previously been a WWE TV Show from 2010-2012. However, the promotion began to catch on with the Internet Wrestling Community by 2015 and now everyone from the people behind the scenes to the fans want to create this illusion that NXT has become it's own brand. They'll easily consider it a third brand along with RAW and Smackdown while wanting wrestlers in their primes to waste their time going there. However, no matter how much the IWC or the people behind NXT want it, NXT is not a "brand" but a developmental promotion and I'll debunk this myth.

Ace Frehley (Frehley's Comet) - Breakout

Great guitar and drum solos. Also based off a demo done by second KISS drummer Eric Carr in 1981 which earned him a songwriting credit. The demo was later redone as Carr Jam 1981 on the KISS Revenge album as a tribute. Like how Ace always dedicates it to Carr during concerts.

Frehley´s Comet - Rock Soldiers Music Video HD

Frehley's Comet - Into The Night 1987 [Official Music Video]

Happy 30th Anniversary to Ace Frehley's Frehley's Comet album which was his first post KISS solo album. Excellent album and one of my favorites as we not only have Ace on guitar but the awesome Anton Fig on drums. Fig went on to become David Letterman's drummer from 1986-2015. I'm proudly wearing my Frehley's Comet shirt.

A Look At Impact Wrestling a Month into the Anthem Era
April 22, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

It was announced back in November that Anthem Sports & Entertainment announced the purchase of TNA Wrestling which has since been rebranded as Impact Wrestling. Since then, we've seen new management and the return of co-founder Jeff Jarrett to the promotion along with other who were apart of TNA's past. After wrapping up loose ends during the January TV Tapings, the Anthem Era officially began with the March TV Tapings which saw some new direction, new faces, and the return of old ones. So, with the last episode of the March tapings having aired on April 13th, we now have seen the complete first tapings of the Anthem Impact. So what did Impact get right and what did they get wrong or at least need to work on?

The Facade of the WWE's "New Era"

The Facade of the WWE's "New Era"
April 14, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

In the past year, The WWE has begun announcing how they're in a "New Era". With a name like that, you would expect a company with new stars and new talent getting opportunities. While there have been some who have made it to the top, it's still the same old WWE that still relies on old part timers like crutches and not too much has changed. In this article, we'll pull back the curtain to show that WWE's "New Era" trying to repaint it's broken down old car with new paint but it's still the same broken down old car.

Gary Moore - After The War (HQ)

Today would've marked the 65th birthday of the great Gary Moore. Moore passed away of a heart attack on February 6, 2011 at 58. Even if he was middle age and left us with plenty of music, it was too soon. Moore will always be known to me as the one who got away as I've seen almost everyone I've wanted to see and then some but Moore was the one I never saw and will never see. It sucks he never caught on in America and I'll always remember a KISS fansite who brought up current drummer Eric Singer playing with him in 1987 and how he never caught on in America and then followed up by writing in parenthesis "Their Loss". America really missed the boat on Moore.
This video also features legendary drummer Cozy Powell so this video could be a tribute to both since tomorrow is the 19th anniversary of his death from a car accident.

Knight Rider Main Theme

Happy Birthday to William Daniels who is the long time voice of KITT on Knight Rider as he turns 90 today. Daniels voiced KITT during the shows original run from 1982-1986 as well as the 1991 Knight Rider 2000 Made For TV film and has reprised the role many times since in movies, TV, commercials, and a David Hasselhoff roast. Along with playing KITT, Daniels also played Dr. Mark Craig on St. Elsewhere during it's entire six season run from 1982-1988 where he won two Emmys and also played George Feeny on Boy Meets World from 1993-2000

Michael Bisping vs. George St-Pierre Is A Mistake

Michael Bisping vs. George St-Pierre Is A Mistake
March 24, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

On March 1st, The UFC made the announcement that former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre would return after a near three and a half year hiatus. However, it was also announced that he would be facing current Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping in a fight that's been teased for a couple of months. To say the very least, this has been a polarizing fight with many for it but many against it. As you can see from the title, I'm against it and will explain why this just isn't a mistake but a very bad move that only wields benefits short term while being harmful in the long term.

I'm two weeks late but happy belated 45th Anniversary to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Let's Listen: Castlevania SOTN - Final Stage, Bloodlines (Extended)

Richter Belmont Theme (Symphony Of The Night Version)

Awesome version of Richter's theme and his appearance in the game was a cool twist. I think I want my dying words to be his if you kill him and get the bad ending: "What Need For The Shepherd, When The Wolves Have All Gone? My Time On This World Has Come To An End."

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Dracula's Castle [Song]

Happy 20th Anniversary to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. One of the greatest video games of all time.

Gary Moore - Wild Frontier (1987)

Gary Moore - Over The Hills And Far Away (1987)

Happy 30th anniversary to the Gary Moore album Wild Frontier. Probably not as strong as Run For Cover but still great. The only sad thing is Moore used a drum machine for the album only to then bring in future KISS drummer Eric Singer for the tour as Singer was coming out of Black Sabbath. Oh well, least we still got Bob Daisley on bass.
Over The Hills And Far Away is an excellent song but the lyrics should be used more like in everyday life like "As sure as the river will reach the sea" if you're sure about something or "Tomorrow's light will mourn his freedom" to someone going to jail.

I know I'm weeks late but when it came to this years Academy Awards, I really found it fascinating how Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield who were in a relationship once and played Gwen Stacy & Spider-Man in the Amazing Spider-Man movies were both nominated. What a coincidence.
Also, kudos to The Academy for remembering Kenny Baker (R2-D2) in the In Memoriam bit. I figured there was a chance they'd forget R2.

On March 3rd, Nintendo will release their next console in the Switch. Already, Nintendo has unleashed many of it's big guns with the latest Legend of Zelda set to be released with it as well as the latest Mario and Xenoblade games following in the future. While these are great starts and we'll obviously see franchises like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart, Nintendo has tons of franchises that could be helpful to use for the Switch but it's unknown if they will be used. Here now are ten series from Nintendo that they should consider using in the years to come.

Happy 30th Anniversary to the Dokken song Dream Warriors which was originally released as a single for the A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors movie before being released on Dokken's Back For The Attack album. The Fall of Ronda Rousey: What Led To It?

The Fall of Ronda Rousey: What Led To It?
January 31, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

At UFC 207, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey returned to the UFC after a 13 month absence in an attempt to defeat Amanda Nunes to reclaim the championship she held with an iron fist for so long. However, the woman known for thrashing opponents in a minute or less found herself TKOed in only 48 seconds and coming off like yesterday's news. Since then, everybody has asked what happened? How did she go from beating opponents in less than a minute to losing in less than a minute? Like a lot of things in life, there isn't one thing that led to Rousey's downfall but multiple things with many of them being obvious in hindsight.
