Things and Improvements I Would Like To See TNA Do With This Rebrand

Things and Improvements I Would Like To See TNA Do With This Rebrand
December 30, 2023
By Ryan Porzl

This past October 21st, Impact Wrestling ran their biggest show of the year Bound For Glory. After the show, which ran like you would expect, the ending would see the promotion shock fans and those in the industry by announcing the promotion would once again rebrand itself under it's old identity of TNA or Total Nonstop Action, the name it had used from it's formation in 2002 to Anthem's purchase in 2017. After seven years, the promotion would embrace it's past to continue moving towards the future. Since the announcement, Impact would release a press release making it clear they had big plans from running bigger buildings to upgrading the look and feel of the show to new championship belts to improving their production with the latter having been announced months earlier. The return of TNA has tremendous potential and while they seem to be making some good moves so far, there's things that I like to see them do or attempt in the new year and here's a list of my requests. Keep in mind, I'm not going to bring up stuff like promotion as I feel their promotional work has improved and they are planned to improve their production so I won't include those.

Note: I don't own the pictures. I found them on Google. Credit to TNA or whoever owns them. I apologize for not knowing the exact owners.

Impact Wrestling's first show: Where Are They Now?

Impact Wrestling's first show: Where Are They Now?
September 12, 2022
By Ryan Porzl

In 2001, the wrestling landscape in America changed forever when WWF purchased rival WCW while number three ECW went bankrupt. In the aftermath, many promotions would attempt the fill the void. While many wouldn't last, one has lasted longer than anyone thought it would and that was Impact Wrestling. Originally known as NWA-TNA, Impact launched on June 19, 2002 and attempted to fill the void by giving fans a different option. Over the past 20 years, the promotion has gone through it's ups and downs with the downs being considered embarrassing and what made it a punching bag to the wrestling critics and journalist while it's ups saw it provide a nice option to fans not into the WWE while also launching or reviving many careers and providing new matches, innovative ideas, and great shows. In this article, we'll take a look at the participants of the first Impact show and see where are they now.

I don't own any pictures as I found them on Google Credit to TNA/Impact or whomever owns them.

The Most Obscure and Forgotten Champions In Impact Wrestling History

The Most Obscure and Forgotten Champions In Impact Wrestling History

By Ryan Porzl

Anyone who's been following my articles knows what's next. We'll continue celebrating Impact's 20th Anniversary with the second part which will look back at those Impact champions that have faded into obscurity and are not as remembered. Not every champion can be AJ Styles or Kurt Angle or Josh Alexander and we'll look at those champions. Again, I will not only cover TNA/Impact title reigns but also NWA reigns when Impact controlled the titles.

I don't own any of the pictures. I found them on google.

New 2020 Impact Wrestling Theme ( "WE OWN THE NIGHT" )

Happy 20th Anniversary to Impact Wrestling (formerly Total Nonstop Action Wrestling).

Wrestlers Who You Likely Didn't Know or Forgot Held A Title In A Promotion (Impact Wrestling)

Wrestlers Who You Likely Didn't Know or Forgot Held A Title In A Promotion (Impact Wrestling)

As we continue through out 2022, it's time to celebrate another promotion's milestone which is Impact Wrestling. The former Total Nonstop Action Wrestling began in 2002 and for twenty years, has been the little promotion that could as it continues to chug along despite many giving up or calling their demise several times over the decades. Like just about any promotion that's been around this long, it's had it's share of great champions. Obviously, when you think Impact Wrestling, the champions that come to mind include AJ Styles, Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, America's Most Wanted, Eric Young, Bobby Roode, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, and Sting to name some. However, they're have been other stars who you may be familiar with that you forgot held a title. We'll begin our celebration of Impact's 20th Anniversary by looking back as wrestlers you likely know but either forgot or had no idea they held a title in Impact. For the record, I will look back at all of Impact's championships including the NWA titles they used from 2002-2007.

Wrestlers That Should Win a Championship in Impact in 2022

Wrestlers That Should Win a Championship in Impact in 2022

By Ryan Porzl

Last I left off, I did an article on wrestlers, I believe, AEW should give championships to in 2022. Now, I plan to do the same with Impact as I am a diehard fan. 2021 was a big year for Impact featuring a colorful list of champions ranging from Impact staples like Josh Alexander, Moose, Ace Austin, The Good Brothers, and Deonna Purrazzo to name some to people we didn't think would get anywhere near an Impact championship let alone win it like Kenny Omega, FinJuice, Mickie James, and Christian Cage. Impact enters 2022 with a great roster and here, I will look at the talent who I think should get a championship including some who I think are long overdue. Again, I'm not sure the contract situations of the talent and things can happen beyond our control like injuries or new talent coming in to change the landscape.

A Look At Impact Wrestling a Month into the Anthem Era

A Look At Impact Wrestling a Month into the Anthem Era
April 22, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

It was announced back in November that Anthem Sports & Entertainment announced the purchase of TNA Wrestling which has since been rebranded as Impact Wrestling. Since then, we've seen new management and the return of co-founder Jeff Jarrett to the promotion along with other who were apart of TNA's past. After wrapping up loose ends during the January TV Tapings, the Anthem Era officially began with the March TV Tapings which saw some new direction, new faces, and the return of old ones. So, with the last episode of the March tapings having aired on April 13th, we now have seen the complete first tapings of the Anthem Impact. So what did Impact get right and what did they get wrong or at least need to work on?
