Last I left off, I did an article on wrestlers, I believe, AEW should give championships to in 2022. Now, I plan to do the same with Impact as I am a diehard fan. 2021 was a big year for Impact featuring a colorful list of champions ranging from Impact staples like Josh Alexander, Moose, Ace Austin, The Good Brothers, and Deonna Purrazzo to name some to people we didn't think would get anywhere near an Impact championship let alone win it like Kenny Omega, FinJuice, Mickie James, and Christian Cage. Impact enters 2022 with a great roster and here, I will look at the talent who I think should get a championship including some who I think are long overdue. Again, I'm not sure the contract situations of the talent and things can happen beyond our control like injuries or new talent coming in to change the landscape.

2021 was a huge year for AEW as they won the Wednesday Night Wars against NXT, debuted B-show Rampage, and even scored some demo victories over WWE. Along the way, the promotion also had it's share of champions from top acts like Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and The Lucha Bros to new blood like Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker, and "Hangman" Adam Page. 2022 will no doubt be another big year and will have several memorable champions. Who they will be is anyone's guess but I have suggestions as to who should gain AEW gold in 2022 and we'll take a look at those names. Keep in mind, I'm not familiar with contract situations, possible injuries, and possible newcomers so anything can happen beyond our control.

Professional wrestling may be scripted but that doesn't mean talent doesn't get hurt every now and then. Even outside of the ring, others can be victims of accidents or health issues or demons. Over the decades, we've seen certain wrestlers like Harley Race, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels suffer injuries in or out of the ring and despite their career being put in question, would go on to make miraculous returns and either have Hall of Fame careers or enhance their Hall of Fame careers. Unfortunately, not everyone can make a great comeback. Just as we've seen miraculous comebacks, we've also seen certain wrestlers suffer in or out of the ring to the point where their careers never recovered and we're a shell of their former selves. Here now is a list of ten wrestlers who were either at the top of their game or on the cusp of it only for an injury or health issue to permanently derail them and they never were able to fully comeback to their past selves.
Note: I don't own the pictures as I got them off google.
