Timothy Dalton: A Look Back At The Original Dark Bond
June 21, 2017
By Ryan Porzl
In the James Bond world, Timothy Dalton is best remembered as the fourth James Bond succeeding Roger Moore and bringing up about a darker tone to the series in an attempt to be more closer than the Ian Fleming novels the movies were based off of. Unfortunately, Dalton's approach was polarizing and legal problems over the series as well as other issues saw Dalton exit after only two films. Despite his brief run as 007, Dalton has had quite the journey leading up to Bond and an interesting aftermath with redemption. This article will look back at Dalton's early life/career, his eighteen year journey and false starts as the world's most famous secret agent, his run & departure, and aftermath.

Alice Cooper - School's Out (from Alice Cooper: Trashes The World)
Today is the first day of summer. What better song to play for all the kids. Also, this month marks the 45th anniversary of Alice Cooper's School's Out album.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Face to Face
Happy 25th to Batman Returns which in my opinion is the greatest Batman movie of all time. Michael Keaton will always be Batman while Danny DeVito and Michelle Pffeifer were also perfectly cast as Penguin and Catwoman, respectively. One of the things I loved about this movie was the imagination including The Penguin's various umbrellas, the vehicles, the penguins with missiles, and The Red Triangle Circus Gang was an excellent idea for henchmen (Sorry Chase, I know I've nagged you about these things a million times). Danny Elfman's soundtrack is one of the best in the history of movies. He really should've been nominated for an Academy Award for best original score as well as song with Face To Face. Elfman's music perfectly adds to every scene and I don't think any Batman movie has had as good a soundtrack since The Burton films. The films dark and gloomy nature was also great. I'm proud to say that this is the first Batman I saw in theaters and I've seen every live action one ever since.

I can't believe it. I almost forgot an important anniversary today. On this day 30 years ago, June 14, 1987, Mets/Phillies. Kramer and Newman were enjoying a beautiful afternoon in right field stand when a crucial Keith Hernandez error opens 5 run Phillie ninth that cost The Mets the game. Their day was ruined. Afterwards, Kramer and Newman come down the ramp where the players are, they pass Hernandez, and Newman say "Nice Game, Pretty Boy". Hernandez turned as he went up the ramp and then a second later, something changed them in a deep and profound way from that day forward when they thought Hernandez spit at Kramer who said "I'm Hit!" and Newman turned and the spit ricocheted off him and hit him. Of course, five years later, they learned the truth that it was Roger McDowell spitting at them from the bushes because they were cursing at him the whole game while he got a glimpse of Newman pouring that beer on his head. Hernandez tried to warn them but it was too late as it was already on it's way.

You Only Live Twice Opening Title Sequence
Happy 50th Anniversary to the fifth James Bond film You Only Live Twice. The fifth Bond starring Sean Connery and his last during his first tenure as he later returned for 1971's Diamonds Are Forever and the 1983 Thunderball remake Never Say Never Again.
