Terrado's Bellator debut. Hawn is replacing Mark Scanlon.
Preview:
Hawn is coming off a win over Karo Parasyan by KO at Bellator 95
(April 4, 2013). Terrado is riding a seven fight win streak. His
recent win was over Jordan Delano by TKO at Xplode Fight Series –
Devastation (May 18, 2013).
Predictions:
Hawn. Despite being a late replacement, that should not be a problem
for Hawn. He likely won't have to cut a lot of weight so he won't be
physically drained during the fight. Hawn has the perfect package for
fighting. He has great knockout power and can hold his own standing
up. He's an Olympic level judoka so he has a very good ground game as
well. So far, Hawn has proven himself as that guy that only loses to
the best like Jay Hieron in the Bellator Season 4 Welterweight
Tournament Finals and Michael Chandler when they fought for the
Lightweight Championship.
Luis

Notes:
Quarterfinals of the Season Nine Bellator Welterweight Tournament.
Keslar is replacing Matt Riddle. Keslar's Bellator debut.
Preview:
Melo is riding a six fight win streak. His recent win was over Trey
Houston by submission at Bellator 94 (March 28, 2013). Keslar is
riding a four fight win streak. His recent win was over Dominic
Watersby submission at JW Events – Up and Comers 10 (May 19, 2012).
Predictions:
Melo. Keslar has everything going against him. He's coming off a long
layoff and he's taking a fight on short notice. Usually that's not
good be thrusted back into fighting with little time to prepare after
a long hiatus. Sure, Justin Wilcox did it but that was a one in a
million comeback. Melo is also more well rounded as he's won eleven
fights by (T)KO and fourteen by submission. He capable of fighting
anywhere. While Melo has been knocked out three times, it's unlikely
Keslar will knock him out. So far in his career, Keslar has only won
once by TKO and that was due to doctor's stoppage.
War
Machine vs. Vaughn Anderson
Nickname: None | Blud
Height: 5'11 | 5'11
Age: 31 | 35
MMA
Record (Bellator Rec): 13-4 (1-0) | 16-1-1 (0-0)
Arm
Length: 72 in. | Unknown
Team: Team Undisputed | Taiwan
BJJ
Weight
Class: Welterweight (170 pounds)
Notes:
Quarterfinals of the Season Nine Bellator Welterweight Tournament.
Preview:
Machine is riding a two fight win streak. His recent win was over
Blas Avena by TKO at Bellator 96 (June 19, 2013). Anderson is
unbeaten in twelve fights (11 wins, 1 draw). His recent win was over
Hae Jun Yang by majority decision at Glory 2 – The Struggle Within
(May 5, 2012).
Predictions:
Machine. Once again, Anderson has not had a fight since May 2012.
Second of all, Anderson has spent most of his career in Asia where
the competition is not as hot as it is in Bellator despite the
continent seeing a growth in MMA. Because Anderson has spent his time
in smaller promotions, you have to wonder how good he really is.
Machine has the better brazilian jiu-jitsu despite being more known
for his striking. While Anderson has never been knocked out, Machine
is capable of knocking guys out or even handing them there first TKO
loss like he did against Roger Huerta (To be fair Eddie Alverez gave
him his first TKO loss but that was doctor stoppage not from
punches).
Brent
Weedman vs. Justin Baesman
Nickname: None | Raw Deal
Height: 6'0 | 5'10
Age: 28 | 32
MMA
Record (Bellator Rec): 21-8-1 (7-3) | 14-3 (0-0)
Arm
Length: Unknown | Unknown
Team: Team Haycraft | Unknown
Weight
Class:
Welterweight (170 pounds)
Notes:
Quarterfinals of the Season Nine Bellator Welterweight Tournament.
Baesman's Bellator debut.
Preview:
Weedman is coming off a win over Marius Zaromskis by unanimous
decision at Bellator 86 (January 24, 2013). Baesman is riding a four
fight win streak. His recent win was over Daniel Roberts by split
decision at War MMA – Roberts vs. Baesman (June 22, 2013).
Predictions:
Weedman. Weedman has good knockout power which may be bad for Baesman
since all three of his losses have been by submission due to punches.
Baesman has not looked great in his last few fights as he's won most
them by close split decisions. If you can barely get by in the
independent circuit then you will have a hard time facing a guy who
holds victories over the likes of Marius Zaromskis, Dan Hornbuckle,
and Douglas Lima.
Douglas
Lima vs. Ben Saunders
Nickname: The Phenom | Killa B
Height: 6'1 | 6'3
Age: 25 | 30
MMA
Record (Bellator Rec): 24-5 (6-1) | 16-5-2 (7-2)
Arm
Length: Unknown | 77.5 in.
Team: American Top Team Atlanta | American Top
Team
Weight
Class: Welterweight (170 pounds)
Notes:
Finals of the Season Eight Bellator Welterweight Tournament.
Preview:
Lima is riding a three fight win streak. His recent win was over
Bryan Baker by KO at Bellator 90 (February 21, 2013). Saunders is
riding a three fight win streak. His recent win was over Raul Amaya
by KO at Bellator 90 (February 21, 2013).
Predictions: Lima. Lima already holds a
victory over Ben Saunders so there's that. Lima is also more
well-rounded as he has a near even amount of knockout &
submission wins (10 knockouts, 11 submissions) so he'll likely be
more comfortable fighting anywhere not just striking (Saunders has
won a good share of knockout and submission but not a near equal
amount as Lima with 8 knockouts and 5 submissions). Perhaps worse of
all is the fact that in the previous encounter, Lima won by knockout.
Since October 2011, Lima won five fights and all by (T)KO. It's safe
to say, if Lima gets the chance, then lightning will strike twice.
Saunders' best chance for victory is if the two injuries Lima
suffered throughout the year (this fight was delayed two times this
year because of the injuries) have slowed him down.
