Continuing Movie Series with Video Games

Continuing Movie Series with Video Games
July 19, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

Over the decades, we've seen many movie series and movie universes for superhero movies, action movies, and science fiction. Many of these franchises have seen many series with different actors and stories in each series while the franchises have been rebooted many times resulting in several "universes". Each of these series or universes has a fanbase with many considering a certain actor being the best of the franchise or an adaptation of certain characters being best or the stories. However, as time goes on, actors age and can no longer play the parts while directors come in with their own vision and at times, reboot series'. In the movie world, these actors are done and likely won't return. However, these series' and actors can continue in video game form. In this article, I'll explain why I think that past series' from classic franchises could get second lives in video games and maybe even some closure as well as the benefits of doing it.

Spider-Man Vs Kingpin - Sega CD - Swing Time

Another can be Mr. Big's Swing Time from Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin on Sega CD.

Spiderman Opening Theme (High Quality)

Forgot to bring this up but one thing I propose for the next Spider-Man movie and what should've been in Homecoming was some old classic Spider-Man songs. One would be the theme for the classic Fox Kids cartoon that Joe Perry from Aerosmith performed.

Happy birthday to Han Solo and Indiana Jones himself: Harrison Ford who turns 75 today.
Saw Spider-Man Homecoming yesterday and it's your typical good Marvel Cinematic Universe movie with good action, special effects, and some funny moments. Some of the beginning was a little dull but it picked up as it went on. Tom Holland does a good job as a younger Spider-Man and is a worthy successor to Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield. I may be biased here but I loved Michael Keaton as Vulture who plays the character at times as a sympathetic villain but clearly shows a dark side. I love the way The Vulture character came off as he's most an old man and I'm not into the comic or cartoon version and I didn't know how Keaton would come off but this version is a bad ass and looks cool. I know Keaton is 65 but I was worried he'd come off older but that wasn't the case. The special Spider-Man costume Iron Man made is a cool addition and gives Spider-Man some new tricks. I like we also get Shocker and a small appearance from a pre-Scorpion Mac Gargon.

The WWE Cruiserweight Classic: Where Are They Now?

The WWE Cruiserweight Classic: Where Are They Now?

It's been a year since The WWE introduced The Cruiserweight Classic, a tournament featuring 32 of the best cruiserweights from around the world and it concluded with the crowning of a new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Since that time, The WWE has done The UK Championship Tournament to crown the first WWE UK Champion and are about to start The Mae Young Classic featuring 32 Women. Meanwhile, the cruiserweight division has since returned and been a complete failure with The WWE not showing much interest and the fans haven't cared much while the cruiserweight only show 205 Live has failed to get a big audience on The WWE Network. With all that said, I feel it's time to take a look back at the 32 participants and see what they've done since then and why not much has happened to the few who WWE snatched up.

I don't own the picture.

Nobody Does It Better

Happy 40th Anniversary to the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me which was Roger Moore's third out of seven outings as 007 and along with being perhaps his best movie was the one that truly established him. The film also saw the debut of iconic Bond villain Jaws. The theme "Nobody Does It Better" would be the second Bond song nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song with Paul McCartney and Wings' "Live and Let Die" being the first four years earlier.
