Happy 25th Anniversary to the classic game Chrono Trigger. I don't care who you are, if you consider yourself a gamer, this HAS to be on your bucket list.
A blog about my interests. Namely wrestling and MMA along with other stuff like video games and music.

The Wit and Wisdom of Montgomery Scott
Off by a day but yesterday would've been the 100th Birthday of actor James Doohan who played Scotty on Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, the first seven films, and a guest appearance on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Doohan passed away in 2005 at the age of 85.

A Look Back At Donkey Kong Country 25 Years Later
A Look Back At Donkey Kong Country 25 Years Later
March 2, 2020
By Ryan Porzl
Since 1981, Donkey Kong has been one of the most beloved and popular franchises in video game history. 13 years after it's release, Nintendo released two Donkey Kong games. One was an expanded version of the classic 1981 arcade game with 100 levels and multiple worlds. The second was a side scrolling platformer developed by Rareware called Donkey Kong Country. Since it's release, Donkey Kong Country has been considered one of the greatest video games of all time and took the DK franchise to the next level with different gameplay, more levels, and more Kongs. With the 25th Anniversary being back on November 21, 2019, which means I'm late, we'll take a look at Donkey Kong Country.

2019 MMA Year End Awards
2019 MMA Year End Awards
February 26, 2020
By Ryan Porzl
Another year has come to a close which means it's time I give my year end awards for what I considered both the best and worst in Mixed Martial Arts. Keep in mind, I didn't focus on MMA as much as I wanted so I won't have as many categories this year.

Evolution of Kirby Victory Dances (1992-2018)
Just found out today is the 40th Anniversary of HAL Laboratory, the video game company that has given us great series like Mother/Earthbound and Kirby. I must point out HAL got it's name cause each letter comes before IBM so "each letter puts them one step ahead".

Today is President's Day so I decided to give some facts on Presidents that you may not have known.
Grover Cleveland is the only president to serve two non consecutive terms as he was the 22nd (1885-1889) and 24th (1893-1897) President. As a result, we've only had 44 people as President, not 45 as you may think.
27th President William Howard Taft (1909-1913) is the only man to serve as both President and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1921-1930). He's also the last President to have had facial hair
The Adams' (John Adams and John Quincy Adams) and the Bushes (George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush) are the only father/son Presidents.
The Harrisons (William Henry Harrison and Benjamin Harrison) are the only grandfather/grandson Presidents
9th President William Henry Harrison (1841) had both the shortest Presidency at one month and was the first to die in office.
John Adams and Thomas Jefferson passed away the same exact date of July 4. 1826. Appropriately, the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence
Only five times has someone been elected President despite not winning the popular vote. John Quincy Adams in 1824, Rutherford B. Hayes in 1876, Benjamin Harrison in 1888, George W. Bush in 2000, and Donald Trump in 2016.
Jimmy Carter is both the oldest president of all time at 95 and counting as well as having the longest retired president at 39 years and counting
The first inauguration actually took place on April 30, 1789. Then from 1793-1933, it was held on March 4th with the exceptions of 1821, 1849, 1877, and 1917 as March 4th fell on a Sunday. It wouldn't be until 1937 that inauguration day fell on January 20th.
Despite being the second President John Adams was the first to live in the White House which he moved into in 1800
At two and a half years as President, Gerald Ford has the shortest Presidency of a President who didn't die in office. He's also the only person to have been both President and Vice President but never elected to either position.
