I just realized we had some morbid anniversaries this year. I already brought up this year being the 60th Anniversary of "The Day The Music Died" back on February 3rd but there's more.
January 26th was the 40th Anniversary of the passing of former Vice President of the United States and Governor of New York Nelson Rockefeller who apparently went out in a way most would want to by "dying in the saddle" at 70. A true man's man.
February 26th was the 25th Anniversary of the passing of Bill Hicks, probably the best comedian you never heard of at 32 due to cancer.
July 20th was the 35th Anniversary of runner Jim Fixx who some may remember for being an advocate of running and wrote books on it during the 70s. He also became known for having one of the most ironic deaths ever by dying of a heart attack....while running. Speaking of Bill Hicks, he did an awesome bit about Fixx, his death, Keith Richards outliving him, and asking what you write about running.
I would also point out May 16th is the 35th Anniversary of Andy Kaufman's passing but let's be real, we know he's still alive in an undisclosed location with Elvis. Probably where Walt Disney is cryogenically frozen.

Alice Cooper - Poison (Official Video)

Happy 30th Anniversary to the Alice Cooper album Trash. Though Cooper had been on the comeback trail since 1986's Constrictor, Trash solidified his comeback. It's produced by the brilliant Desmond Child and features guest appearances from Jon Bon Jovi, RIchie Sambora, Steven Tyler, Joan Jett, and Joe Perry as well as former Cooper band members Kane Roberts and Kip Winger.
Here's a reason why the album is a classic since I think it might actually be impossible to hate this song.

Charles Bronson vs. Muggers

Happy 45th Anniversary to Death Wish. Interesting note, Jeff Goldblum had one of his earliest roles in this movie as a mugger (not in this scene).

Am I the only one who finds the Tide Pod Challenge hilarious? The fact you have dumbasses eating that stuff is amazing. Maybe commercials should have disclaimers that say "Not candy" but then again, I hate those disclaimers cause if people are stupid enough not to be able to tell the difference between reality and commercials then they get what they deserve trying stunts like they're on Jackass.
Maybe Tide should enter the edible business by either making Tide Pod candy or Tide Pod like Dunk-a-roos with the colors being various flavor icing.

Is it a coincidence that you hear people talking about Area 51 on the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing?

I hate how orange sweet tarts have mostly been discontinued for years. I miss the old days when the four packs had orange instead of lemon.

Disco Demolition Night at Comiskey Park in Chicago 1979

Forgot that yesterday was the 40th Anniversary of Disco Demolition Night which was a Baseball promotion where shock jock Steve Dahl blew up a bunch of disco records between a double header featuring the White Sox and the Detroit Tigers. Many fans also threw disco albums into the field like frisbees and then stormed on to the field to stomp on the albums and riot trashing the field and starting fires forcing the White Sox to forfeit the second game. Many often view Disco Demolition Night as the beginning of the end for the Disco fad. Many people in Disco were apparently the original politically correct social justice warriors accusing the event as well as people who hate disco as racist, sexist, and homophobes.
Now if only we could get another since I'm sure there's some shitty acts and genres who's CDs could use a Demolition Night.

Most Underrated KISS Albums

Most Underrated KISS Albums

By Ryan Porzl

In my last KISS article, I pointed out the top five worst albums they've done. Now, I'm going the opposite direction. Again, KISS have done at least 20 studio albums (not counting the solo albums) and like any band who have had that many, there are those people love, those people hate, those who people feel are underrated, and those that are overrated. Like any fan, I have my opinions on what is underrated so I decided to do this article to bring up the albums that I feel many fans and even the band themselves don't give enough credit for and why I think they're good. Again, I'm mostly going to look at studio albums and none of these are in any order.

Again, I wish there was something from the Revolutionary War that explains why we light fireworks and barbecue on 4th of July. Like, the original 13 Colonies lighting fireworks as a symbol of their declaration of independence. That would've been cool. I would love to have it be revealed one day that the Colonial Army had barbecues and barrels of ale like when Forrest Gump and Bubba first went to Vietnam and they found out it was nothing like The United States of America except the beer cans and barbecues. It would also be cool if someone thought of George Washington as "General George" like Lt. Dan.

I've been a KISS fan since 2001 and they were the first band I got into. For 45 years, the band has released 20 studio albums as well as other material. When a band releases that much stuff and has such a long and rich history, they're bound to stumble once and awhile. With KISS embarking on their End of the Road tour, I figure I do some articles on KISS' work. The first will cover the few times KISS missed the mark. I'll mostly focus on studio albums not the Alive! albums or compilation albums with some new songs like Killers or Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits. This will not be in any specific order.
