Mr. Fuji: Wrestling Most Underrated Manager
September 29, 2016
By Ryan Porzl
On August 28, 2016, the wrestling world lost one of it's all time greats in Mr. Fuji. During a 30 year career, Fuji enjoyed big success as a pro wrestler and later, a manager. However, to the hardcore wrestling fans, Fuji has been considered a bad manager and was voted "Worst Manager of the Year" eleven times by readers of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While Fuji was never a great talker, there is more to being a great manager than having a silver tougue. In this article, I will honor a wrestling legend by explaining why he is wrestling's most underrated manager and what he did bring to the table.
A blog about my interests. Namely wrestling and MMA along with other stuff like video games and music.

Top Wrestlers Who Did Better In TNA Than WWE
Top Wrestlers Who Did Better In TNA Than WWE

By Ryan Porzl
For years, TNA Wrestling has been a promotion that has been a punching bag in the industry especially to smart fans. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer once made the claim that TNA was considered a "career killer" and people on social media have said certain TNA wrestlers should go to WWE or NXT. However, nothing could be further from the truth as many wrestlers have been wasted in WWE only to see their potential or success in TNA. With the recent arrival of Aron Rex (formerly Damien Sandow) and Cody Rhodes, I figured it would be great to create a list of men and women who were wasted in WWF/E only to see their careers reach new heights in TNA. Keep in mind for this list, I'm only including wrestlers who first were in WWE and then went to TNA. I'm also not going to include wrestlers who was justifiably fired by the WWE for one reason or another (Mr. Anderson and Bram).

He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask)
As the album says: "Theme From The Motion Picture Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives".
Happy 30th Anniversary to the Alice Cooper album Constrictor. The album was Cooper's comeback album after a three year layoff due to his addictions to alcohol and his marriage nearly falling apart. Though this was Cooper's first album since 1983's Dada, it's the first in nearly a decade that sounded like an Alice Cooper album with his albums between 1978-1983 being experimental. The album introduced Cooper to a newer generation and began his heavy metal period. This was also the first album to feature the awesome Rambo-like guitarist Kane Roberts and Kip Winger. The songs "Teenage Frankenstein" and "He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask)" appeared in the movie Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives while "The Great American Success Story" was rumored to be for the Rodney Dangerfield movie Back To School.

Triggerman
Happy 15th anniversary to the Alice Cooper album "Dragontown" which a very underrated album in the Alice Cooper catalog.

Hellraiser
Happy 25th anniversary to the Ozzy Osbourne album No More Tears. The album was Osbourne's sixth studio album and the last to feature drummer Randy Castillo and bassist Bob Daisley. Daisley had played bass up to that point on all but The Ultimate Sin album while co-writing most of the songs in the first five albums. Lemmy of Motorhead co-wrote three songs on the album.
Guns N' Roses - Estranged
Another favorite. kind of a sad song but a beautiful song. The video is cheesy but I like it. The concert footage was from a show in Munich, Germany on June 26, 1993 one month before the Use Your Illusion tour ended after 26 months. Knowing that makes the video a little sad giving that band members went on record saying they hoped the tour would never end because they knew the band would be over once it did.
Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry
Another classic. Interesting notes as Izzy left right before the video and Gilby Clarke had yet to be hired so there's no rhythm guitarist. The band even joked about it with the "Where's Izzy" sign. Shannon Hoon of Blind Melon guests in the video. Sad irony is the end of the video showing Axl approaching his tombstone which states "1962-1990" implying Axl only lived to be 28. While thankfully the band has lived much longer, the same couldn't be said for Hoon who ironically did die at 28 in 1995 due to a cocaine overdose.
Guns N' Roses - November Rain
One of my favorite ballads as well as songs all together. Interesting note is that the video was reportedly inspired by the short story "Without You" from GnR Road Manager Del James. The story would appear in James' 1995 book "The Language of Fear" which Axl wrote the forward to.
Happy 25th Anniversary to the Guns n' Roses albums Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II which were released on this day in America in 1991 while being released a day earlier in the UK. The album was a rare case of a band releasing two studio albums the same day and I believe was the first where they went to the top 2 positions (Ironically I went to #2 while II went to #1). The albums were the first to feature drummer Matt Sorum (Steven Adler did drum on Civil War before being fired after reportedly needing 70 times to do the album due to his drug addictions), long time keyboardist DIzzy Reed (who has been the only one of the band never to have left and remained through it all), and the last to feature Izzy due to him leaving in November 1991. Guest artists included Alice Cooper and Blind Melon's Shannon Hoon. The double album, of course, proved to be the last album of original material until 2008's Chinese Democracy.

Queen - These Are The Days Of Our Lives (Official Video)
Today is what would've been Freddie Mercury's 70th birthday. Mercury, of course, passed away on November 24, 1991 at 45. Today is also the 25th anniversary of These Are The Days Of Our Lives being released as a single from Innuendo. The video was the final music video Mercury did as it was recorded on May 30, 1991, six months before his death. Sadly, it's obvious watching the video Mercury didn't have long to go even with the smoke and mirrors but was still a pro in participating.
