Pride Shockwave/Dynamite 2002 Opening Ceremony

Happy 15th Anniversary to Dynamite! Biggest Mixed Martial Arts World Cup - Summer Night Fever in the National Stadium (a.k.a. PRIDE Shockwave 2002 or Dynamite! for short) an event co-promoted by Japanese Mixed Martial Arts promotions PRIDE Fighting Championships and Japanese Kickboxing promotion K-1 and held at Tokyo National Stadium with a crowd of 70-91,107 fans. Say what you will about some of the fights which were mismatches but the spectacle was incredible and something I would love to see again in MMA.

30 Years Later: A Look Back At Street Fighter 1: The Forgotten Original

30 Years Later: A Look Back At Street Fighter 1: The Forgotten Original

Street Fighter 1 Flyer

It was 30 years ago when the video game world saw the debut of one of the biggest franchises in it history make it's debut: Street Fighter. Originally one of the earliest games in the fighting genre, Street Fighter introduced things that were never seen before in fighting games and changed the genre forever. Unfortunately, the franchise had humbled beginnings as the game came and went before falling into obscurity. It wouldn't be until Street Fighter II's release four years later that the series finally caught on and became a phenomenon. With the 30th Anniversary coming, what better way then to look back at the original that started it all?

Since acquiring Star Wars, Disney has had a lot plans for new Star Wars movies. By now it's well known that one of those plans is to make a Han Solo prequel movie. Should the movie be successful, it could open the door for other films. The Star Wars universe has had many great characters but we've never got to see more of their stories. So here now is a list of characters that should one day get their own movie and expand their stories..

The Chrono Series Needs To Return

The Chrono Series Needs To Return August 11, 2017 By Ryan Porzl
Since it's debut in 1995, the Chrono Series has been one of the most critically acclaimed series in video game history despite only having two games. Not only fun RPG games, they were also way ahead of their time with the games either focusing on time travel or traveling through dimensions while also featuring multiple endings, side quest, and even having over 30 playable characters. Sadly, despite the games popularity and success, Square has discontinued the series after only two games and potentially cancelled a third game. It's time for Square to get it's act together and bring it back.

Capcom Should Remake and Release Street Fighter 1

Capcom Should Remake and Release Street Fighter 1
August 6, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

When you think of the all time great video game franchises, it's hard not to think of Street Fighter. Since it's debut, the series has been one of the greatest in the fighting game genre and helped popularize it thanks to Street Fighter II and it's enhanced versions. However, Street Fighter also has the strangest beginning in the history of video games. Unlike other series like Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Castlevania to name some, the first Street Fighter game isn't one many have gone back to play like many first games and even stranger is the fact that it simply disappeared by the end of the 80s with most people first hearing about the series via Street Fighter II which was the game that launched the series to the stratosphere in 1991. This August marks the 30th Anniversary of the Street Fighter series so I've decided to write why Capcom should unearth the first series in one of their most beloved and treasured franchises.

Can Bellator MMA Overtake The UFC as Number One?

Can Bellator MMA Overtake The UFC as Number One?
August 2, 2017
By Ryan Porzl

Since 2007, The Ultimate Fighting Championship has been the undisputed number one Mixed Martial Arts promotion in the world following Zuffa's (UFC's former parent company) purchase of the Japanese based PRIDE Fighting Championships. Since then, many companies have come and gone including those who tried to compete with the UFC such as EliteXC and Strikeforce while The UFC has come off untouchable. However, with recent events from The UFC as well as the rise of Bellator MMA since it's purchase to Viacom and former Strikeforce head Scott Coker as it's leader, the gap has gotten smaller. While Bellator MMA is still a long way from completely overtaking The UFC and won't do it tomorrow, the pieces are in place for them to one day do so and I'll explain why The UFC's time at top could be coming to an end eventually.
