On this day 35 years ago, KISS released their ninth album Music From The Elder. The album was KISS' attempt at a concept album to appeal to critics but it largely became the biggest flop KISS did as they were already in severe decline in America at that point and this made it worse. To this day, it's one of the few KISS studio albums not to be certified. It was the second album produced by Bob Ezrin who previously produced Destroyer and was coming off co-producing Pink Floyd's The Wall. It was the debut album of second drummer Eric Carr and the last to involve Ace Frehley until Psycho Circus 17 years later as the album was the final straw for Frehley who quit a year later but not before refusing to participate in Creatures of The Night. However, I personally enjoy the album as it was good but wrong place at the wrong time.
A blog about my interests. Namely wrestling and MMA along with other stuff like video games and music.
